while playing mafia 3 my controler keeps disconnecting on me, i tryed every thing that it says to do online. the pnly thing in the room is my game consel and tv.

Wireless controller

My wireless (BLACK) controller keeps disconnecting on me while playing games, etc.. i've trouble shooted the controller and everything, what can i do to fix this?

Hey there -

Can you connect your controller to your console via USB cable and see if you continue to experience disconnects? Also have you tried new batteries in your controller?

ive had my console about 3 weeks from brand new, i'm about 1 metre away from my console yet my controller will disconnect and and the LED light will repeatedly flash over and over until the controller connects again. While it is flashing it will kick me
out of xbox live and disconnect me from any parties or games!!!!! (ive lost multiple fifa games now because of this problem!!).. the batteries are brand new, the console is brand new yet it keeps happening, it happens within 5 minutes of me turning my console
on

I can sign in an start the 2 player game. Then it keeps disconnecting!! First 1 controller than the other, it goes back and forth. It's making playing a game with friends torture. It's only2k Madden works fine for me. Please help this is terrible.

I've got the same problem.

Cleared the cache, lowered resolution, disconnected the Kinect controller, but it keeps freezing up.

Got the game for the kids during the holidays, but now they can't play while it keeps raining outside.

This started happening to me since the latest, or maybe the one before, update.

Says console updated successfully 3rd of June 2022.

I only play wired.. so yes it’s disconnecting me while wired.

Using two different controllers, 1 from Microsoft and 1 from turtle beach. (recon controller)

I thought it might be the wire, but I tried several usb c wires, on several USB ports on the series X.

The one in front and the ones in the back, doesn’t matter, same result.

It will disconnect during gameplay mostly, other activities such as watching YouTube etc, it doesn’t seem to disconnect, ruling out the wire as far as I’m concerned.

I have also updated both controllers obviously.

No change in behaviour.

This is fairly recent.

If it gets worse I’ll do the reset / keep games etc nuclear option.
