    xbox 1 console will not come on. Just a black screen with words "no signal"


    Xbox 1 was working fine on Monday but on Tuesday all I get is a black screen with the words "no signal'', The console power light comes on. I can give a verbal command for xbox on and it comes to life but just a black screen.. Now what.

    Is your Xbox in power saving mode or instant on?

    Also does the console come on the screen at all or stay no signal?

    Screen stuck on preparing console then goes to error then no signal and just repeats all steps.

    had a black screen no signal. Done a reset

    Now console is on preparing console for like 40 mins then goes to error then bk to no signal then 20 mins later preparing console. And this repeats itself. Any ideas what to do this has happened since last update before that it was working fine. With no

    Hi,

    Do you see "No Signal" message on your TV screen? If its just black screen, this signals that your console needs update. But if you see "No Signal" it could be an issue with your HDMI cable or TV HDMI port or your console HDMI port. Better to test your console
    with different TV.

    Xbox One S stuck in Low Resolution Display.

    Done that, still nothing. When I change to a higher reaolution the screen either goes black or comes up with the “no signal” screen.

    Xbox one s no video output and will not turn off

    My tv just says no signal when the xbox is turned on and connected to it. It is not really a black screen I am getting, because it shows the HDMI port number and the words no signal. I have switched HDMI cords and I have even switched tv's to see if that was the issue. It was working fine when I went to bed, and then hasn't worked since I tried using it the next day is the odd thing. My thinking is that wouldn't be an HDMI port issue because of this. It is the xbox one s gears of war special edition console.

    ive changed hdmi cables and the cable is fine, I get the green xbox screen and then just a black screen at the end of it...no dashboard !!!!..i know its sending a signal because if I unplug hdmi cable the tv states no signal...
