My xbox1 needs router reconfiguration

did you try update controller via Xbox and also try to reset settings to default, set on your preferred values and try update.

We have tried both of those suggestions. We are at a loss at this point. Any other ideas?

Hello, Zach. Thanks for replying.

Based on the information you provided, I would like to suggest:

A. Check that your Xbox region match with your physical location before trying again.

You can check your console region by going to Settings > System > Language & Location.

B. Open settings on your console > select network configuration > advanced configuration > DNS configuration > select manual.
Insert this IP address 1. 1. 1. 1 and then this other one 1. 0. 0. 1.

Restart your console before trying again.

Note: You may want to try with 8. 8. 8. 8 and 8. 8. 4. 4 as well.

C. Download and configure the Xbox app on your phone.
Once configured, go to your library, tap one of the affected games and tap on “download to console”.

If the game is in the queue before doing this procedure, please cancel the download before attempting to do the previous steps.

D. Try connecting your console to another Wi-Fi network, like a mobile hotspot if you have unlimited data or a plan with a considerable amount of GB, before trying again.

If this only happens if you are on instant on your router is having problems with UPnp and is not able to reassign already by UPnp opened ports.

If you get a configuration error that the port is already in use when you try configuring it please try the following:

1. Shut down your Xbox One (to energy saving modus or unplug it totally).

2. Reset your router.

3. Delete all already configured portforwardings and disable UPnp if possible.

4. Restart your router again.

5. Configure the portforwardings. Do NOT configure port 53 and port 80.They do not need to be forwarded.

6. Start your Xbox and check your NAT status.
