    Hello,

    I bought a prepaid code for COD Ghosts more than 1 month ago. I tried to redeem the code the same day but i got error code: XBOS1005. I tried it on xbox.com and xbox 360 and even my xbox one. It is a dual code for ghosts so i could play it on both consoles.
    But i only want it on xbox one. I have contacted Xbox Support multiple times now for the PAST MONTH. Every time a get another story from another representative but nothing helps. My 'case' has already been escalated for 2 different times. They told me that
    i would get contacted within 2 days. But the first escalated case is about 3 weeks ago and i havent heard from them. And the second time is a week ago. The havent contacted me! Not even an single email or something. They all told me the code was still active
    and they also thought it was odd and couldn't find a reason why this is happening. When i am trying to redeem my code on xbox.com i get a 'confirm' screen. It says: Call of Duty Ghosts do you want to redeem? Then i click on confirm and then i get the error
    code. I don't know what to do anymore. I tried everything. But Xbox please fix this error.... I have been waiting for more than a month. I gave you enough time to respond. My patience is gone. If it takes another week and there is still no solution i will
    get in touch with a lawyer.

    Regards, I would like to know if someone could help me, I want to change a gold membership of xbox, my account is new but when I try to exchange, I get the message "something went wrong try it later". To exchange on the internet marks the code XBOS1005,
    someone knows if changing the associated account is solved or some method to solve? I read in several places and comment about the region, can you change the region? Or changing the associated account has one with a different region would it? Greetings.

    My research on that error code suggests one of a few possible reasons for it.

    1. Your region (country) is not set for the same region that you physically live in

    2. You purchased the code for a different region than your gamertag is set for.

    3. You have a billing suspension on your account that could be preventing you from adding this

    4. Your billing info does not match your gamertag and/or physical region.

    If any of those sound familiar to you then that would be the reason that you cannot add the item that you wish to.

    G'day michellehnossa! Please make sure your billing information is filled out completely and accurately at
    commerce.microsoft.com. Also check there to see if you have any pending transactions. If there are any, please take care of that before redeeming the code.

    Next up, check that MSP card for an expiration date. If it is expired then it won't be redeemable. Try redeeming the card on your console as well as at xbox.com. Let us know the results!
