    Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
    http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
    http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

    After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

    Also check that the Xbox Live account, the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

    Another thing to keep in mind is that 2 day trails can not be stacked onto any already existing Gold subscriptions

    If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at

    same thing is happening to me. i've contacted 1 800 4 my xbox and they had to push me to tier 2 tech support. I am waiting on the call. i could tell that my code was active, b/c when i put the code in, it told me that i was about to submit a non refundable
    code for $$ on my account. then upon hitting 'ok' it errored out. the tier 1 techs had no idea what the issue would be. they had me go to account.live.com, sign in, and verify my security information and credit card info. after that, they looked to see
    if my account was split (which apparently sometimes happens when you sign onto windows phones with the account attached to your gamer tag), but it was fine. i've already spent the $$ for a digital copy of destiny (which is the game that made me cave to buy
    an x1 in the first place), and i can't even play it unless I want to spend another $90 for the game and pass only to have $100 floating on my account when they get it fixed. :(
