    XBONES HDD noise when switching off.


    When I hold the home button down on the controller, select turn off console it then appears as if it's turned off as in its stopped outputting to my TV, the TV's No Signal message kicks in as expected but the thing is when I go to switch it off at the wall
    socket I can hear the HDD screech/beep as if I've switched it off mid task or something. I've stood by the wall for a good 3 or 4 mins before after "turning it off" but the HDD is definitely still doing something because each time I switch it off at the mains
    I can hear the disk cut out, that cannot be good for it right?? Does anyone else get this? Do I need to set it somewhere to turn the disk off after I've powered the console off??

    Xbox One X with external HDD attached.

    My Xbox One X, when it has an external HDD attached, when it is off, continues to feel a subtle noise inside the console (I have the xbox in "power saver" mode). If I unplug the external HDD, the noise disappears. Does anyone have my own problem? What can

    Clicking noise?

    A clicking noise would be either A) the fan off balance at low RPM or B) the HDD. The HDD would only make noise while seeking though so probably your fan if it's constant.

    Xbox One didnt remember external storage, so games are hidden now.

    It might seem like an obvious question, but is your console switched on when you connect the external HDD?

    If the console is switched on during connection then it will not read the HDD. Make sure the console is off prior to connecting.
