Xbone x 2 , have to buy same game 2 times ?

Hey peeps.

i so badly hope i post the right place, so i dont get flamed.

I got a question from me and my son. Here goes.. i got my son on part time and i want to get him an xbox and he got one at his mom's place as well.

Now i wonder.. if i buy him a game at my place on our xbone ( digital download ) , **** for the xbox or the user ? hope you can help me. ty

3 Consoles, one gold sub, and family use

Hey kids!

I've been researching this, but havent been able to find a straight answer. I currently have 1 xbone elite, which is shared by my 2 kids and I. My goal is to buy two more xbone consoles (for xmas), so we can all play together. The goal is all 3 of us,
playing the same game, say BattleFront 2, at the same time, in the same match. Is this possible on one Gold Sub and buying one game license using the "Home" designation for my parent login and creating 2 other gamer tags, 1 each for the 2 other consoles?

Some news on family sharing guys

So If I buy Battlefield 4 on the xbone can me and a friend play the game at the same time using 2 different consoles and with him being in my family share?

 

As long as you purchase the game on his account he can redownload it and play it on either console.

 

but i guess i cant play a game i bought for him if he is logged in and playing it at his mom's place ? and ty for the fast answer

 

If your console is set as his home console, then you can still play it. If he sets the console at his mom's as his home console then you won't be able to play it.
