    Xbone Recharge Batt pack


    I just purchased a xbone controller and recharge pack.

    Dummy me installed batt wrong, flip floped it, and connected the charger it was like that for 30-45 min while I ate lunch.

    I did not see any damage. I swapped it around and it is charging just fine.

    Should I be concerned?

    I agree. I think it should come with a cheap headset too but if they go with the adapter and its reasonably priced.. Or better yet free.. That'd be ok as well.

    As long as I don't have to sit with a 3 metre USB lead plugged in to recharge my controller which falls out every time i move it..Then I'm happy... Recharge batts all the way!

    Do you have to use the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack or can you just use a regular recharger and regular rechargeable batteries?

    This will probably have caused no damages and as sounds like it's charging okay then I would not worry about it.

    The standard controller inside the box does NOT come with a usb cord, nor the 2nd standalone controller. You can verify this with the "unboxing" video. I don't know why "tohellenback" thinks otherwise.

    If you want to be able to charge your XB1 battery pack while using it you need a PnC kit. A standard usb cord WILL charge the XB1 batt pack but, you'd still need to buy a PnC kit to get that rechargeable XB1 batt pack. Usb cord WILL NOT charge any other
    type of rechargeable batteries but, will offer a corded controller option.

    You have 2 options:

    1. Pnc kit-$24.99 [comes with MS XB1 batt pack and a usb cord)

    2. Pnc controller kit-$74.99 [comes with above-mentioned plus 1 controller]

    Otherwise you go the way of regular AA batteries or rechargeable AA batteries with their own standalone charger.

    I was pretty sure the alkaline batts that came with would have issue with recharging. To be clearererer, (sic), I have a Logitech Bluetooth mouse that when wired will recharge the rechargeable batt via the USB cable. The mouse is 5 yrs old, I assumed all current USB connected products, (game controllers) would recharge batts when connected.

    So, the series X controllers will only recharge when connected to the charging station not when the controller is connected by USB cable to the Xbox.

    ^ that's what I did. I once got a play and charge kit for 360 and it did not last long. It felt the batt pack itself was a money hole designed too have you buy more in a short period. So I just bought my own rechargeable a and they have lasted all year!!

    I got some wired X12's atm and they are good for a mid range headset,Bass boost makes BF sound nice plus no batts to worry about,only my controller but i have a little kit with 2 rechargable batt packs and a lead that just stays in my xbox so i can charge
    1 while using the other,Then just swap em.May splash out and get a wireless headset at some point,would like to try the Dolby sound out on those.
