Xboc one won't read any disc

Hi. I've just bought my new xbox one today and won't play any discs. Can anyone give any advice in what to do to fix this?

my xbox won't read any discs it's not that it wont pop up with an error it just won't read a disc and just says insert disc on one of the blocks, can someone please help?

my xbox one s won't read any discs unless you lift the front of the unit up while inserting the disc. It was working fine yesterday. We purchased 3 brand new games and all worked fine. But this morning won't read any disc unless to lift the front of the
unit while inserting disc.

You can try a reboot press console button for 8 seconds power back up after 10 seconds

Well sometimes an Xbox one comes with a disk drive problem. So you can call Microsoft for a replacement console.

Are you recieving an error message when you try to install the games? (could be a disc problem)Does the disc drive make any unusual sounds when inserting discs? (Contact Microsoft for a replacement) Are you connected to the internet and signed in? (double
check your network settings) When you go into my games and apps is the game install queued or paused? (you can manually restart them)

I understand that you are experiencing issues with the Xbox not reading any disc.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please make sure the disc is clean and free of scratches. Wipe it with a microfiber cloth and try again.

And then perform a hard reset by holding the power button for 10 seconds until the console shuts down, then unplug it for a few minutes before restarting.

Next is to check for updates. Ensure that your Xbox system software is up to date.

Then clear persistent storage. To do this, go to Settings > Devices & Streaming > Blu-ray > Persistent Storage and clear it.

After that is to test another game or movie disc to see if the issue is with the console or the specific disc.
