does anyone else think this is a bad idea? I've been using both for years and honestly the xbox rewards system is much better in my opinion. I don't know what they have planned for the future of microsoft rewards but right now it feels like they are pulling
the plug because people are utilizing the myvip % back, and the xbox reward points more than they actually wanted. The cancellation of the myvip, and mycommunity seems to basically be hand in hand so as to quickly get rid of comments and other posts disputing
the change altogether once the change has officially been put in place. Its adding up to them getting rid of rewards interest.

    :)

    MSR

I haven't used it in MP yet, but I have favored the AS50 over every other sniper so far.

I absolutely agree. When it popped up on my messages the first thing I did was let out a big sigh. I've talked up the xbox rewards to other people before and now, seeing them altered to a lesser reward and after years of people building up their rewards,
it just feels like a slap in the face.

"Thanks for enjoying our rewards program. It's your 5th year anniversary with Xbox rewards! Congratulations, your now getting a different program that requires more steps and all of your previous progress is null and void. Thanks- MS!"

I'm sure someone will prolly say "they don't have to do anything but they did, and still will be" and while that's true, we've had an awesome program for years that is being changed to be less than, more hassle, and it saves them cash. That's great, but
we don't even get exclusives, the rewards program was one of the better benefits and I just don't see it being the same.

TL;DR- Switching to a lesser program, more hassle to get rewarded, and it feels a slap in the face to someone who put time and money into the current program.

I think it depends on how well either program works for your spending. I typically don't buy anything on Live unless it's gone on sale. So since they changed the Xbox program back in 2014, I've barely earned any rewards, and earned more through the Microsoft
Rewards program because I don't have to spend money to get points. I also like that with the Microsoft Rewards program I can get stuff that isn't just currency on my account. I can get stuff I'll actually use more like gold or Amazon gift cards. And I can
redeem points for that stuff and get it immediately instead of having to wait for specific deposit dates.

I'm just the opposite. I don't like the vast majority of stuff on Microsoft Rewards. XBL Rewards has been a fun and challenging way to give Microsoft my money. I find Microsoft Rewards more like a chore than a challenge.

YES!!! This is a TERRIBLE IDEA!! Even though it isnt as good as it was before they got rid of MSP (another bad idea, IMO), I cant count how many things I have done simply for the rewards involved. Things that I would have never done otherwise, such as preordering
digital games, using apps that I didnt know existed and buying in game content for free to play games. XBL Rewards made me WANT to do these things. The 10% rebate made me buy digital over physical COUNTLESS times. With no true exclusives, this was one of the
last remaining reasons to even own an Xbox.
