XBLA Issue: Wolfenstein 3D, making me buy again

I didn't see a Wolfenstein 3D thread in the Xbox Live Acade Forum, so sorry for posting this here. I've bought this game, have the 200/200 gamerscore for it, but when I went back to it, it's showing I have to purchase it for $4.99. I went through all the
troubleshooting steps 1-8, still not fixing it. I've only purchased about 9 arcade games and have had to transfer the license once, to my 360 slim. All my other 8 arcade titles are allowing my to play except Wolfenstein 3D, unless I purchase. Is there another
way to resolve without buying it again? Thank you.

I want to buy Wolfenstein 3D too. Lets hope they will bring it back.

 

Have to purchase re-released Wolfenstein 3D?

I bought Wolfenstein 3D on the arcade many years ago, when Activision published it. I still have the game on my hard drive, but I cannot access the page to the Activison version (obviously for various reasons). I saw on the arcade there is Wolfenstein 3D,
and it seems to me to be the exact same game (with a new publisher name), but I would have to purchase it. I already purchased Wolfenstein 3D once, do I have to purchase it again? Thanks

 

If you purchased the game with the gamertag that you are posting with then it should be in your Download History.

Go to Settings>Accounts>Download History and you will be able to redownload the game without incurring another purchase cost.

 

I have the same issue, because it is reissued by Bethesda, they do not recognize the license from the original XBLA version of the game. I contacted Xbox about this but they were ENTIRELY unhelpful and clueless, (the operator I spoke do didn't even know
what XBLA stood for....). Typical Microsoft.
