    Or its a bug?

    You are not the only person that's had this issue. My tenure dropped from 14 to 11. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Xbox Support today, and it appears (to me) that this could be tied to when Xbox 360 came out. The support person I talked to
    today, said he was looking at "content usage" to determine how long the account has been around. I kept telling them this is NOT RIGHT. I first noticed this about a week ago, when the badge on my account switched from 14 to 11.

    What they have done in the end is turn it over to the Technical Support team to research. They gave me a ticket number for reference, and I'll give them a call back in a couple of days or so and let them know that other people are having this problem.
    One of the things they kept saying to me was "that's weird - I've never seen this problem before".

    Your tenure resets after you stop having XBL, Change your gamertag, or change your WLID. Tenure doesnt actually amount to anything...... not sure why ths is a big deal

    Profile Tenure reset to "1"?

    You can't have a tenure of 10 until Novemeber at the earliest.

    XBL was launched in Novemeber 2002.
