XBL services down, cannot play downloaded games

  6. this is so pissing me off Microsoft gets hacked last week and now this they should get some real security if they want i can show them wat a real firewall looks like its *** garbage how easy they can get hacked and how easy it is to have there servers knocked
    offline i cant play any of my games because i only own 1 hard copy and its destiny and then the dlc is digital i cant do any of the good raids or trials or anything

    I would be with you save for the fact that all money paid for system service and so on is counted as you enjoyed the service and so on. legally your only allowed to claim money owed for time left on the account or all the time they are down. other thing
    is that its not easy to take down servers even microfails (even though they have the weakest security in all the consoles.) this is probs the doing of a group that does not like microfails stance on the apple thing I assume this cause I am having trouble with
    my google account and my apple stuff so yeah...

    I bought stuff for in game buffs for a game called warframe now I can't use those buffs cuz they go by the hour for example exp boost last 24hrs I haven't been able to get on all day my boost is now gone

    Here's my situation:

    I live in Texas. My family and friends all live in Illinois. This weekend, I came to Illinois to visit family and friends. My friends and I specifically made plans for this evening to get on and play Ark. Keeping in mind that I live in Texas and my home
    XBox is also in Texas, Ark is only a digital game. As of approximately 5 o'clock this evening, 2 hours before my friends and I got together to play Ark, this problem started. Now, here we are over 8 hours later, and the issue isn't resolved. This is beyond
    annoying, as the ~$600 worth of games that I have purchased on my account are essentially being held hostage. It's encroaching upon theft at this point.

    I can understand problems happening with services. I used to be technical support for Comcast. Things happen. There are 2 major issues with this whole situation, however, that are completely inexcusable. The first issue, which is obviously the BIGGEST
    issue here, is that the DRM server must be contacted on any non-home Xbox for any games purchased on an account. There should be a window. Make it a 15 day window, per se, and if the xbox has been authenticated within that 15 day window, the DRM server doesn't
    need communication with that xbox to launch the title as long as that gamertag is still logged into the xbox itself. This would allow an account to play purchased titles without an internet connection (given the title has offline content) on any xbox that
    isn't the home xbox, and would prevent this exact issue as long as the xbox has authenticated within the 15 day window. 15 days is MORE than enough time to resolve an issue like this.

    The 2nd major problem, which is utterly inexcusable, is the lack of actual communication to the customers regarding this issue. The Xbox status page hasn't been updated in more than 7 hours now, and the Xbox support twitter account is rehashing the same
    3-4 canned copy/paste responses of "Sorry, check the status page for updates." The few times that they don't use the canned responses, it's usually a response of "We don't have any information about this issue." This is a total joke. Microsoft is supposed
    to be a tech giant. "We don't have any information" is a response that says "We don't know what's going on." If you don't know what's going on, then you have no business running a server. If you DO know what's going on, inform your customers as to what
    the problem is and an estimate as to when it might be fixed. There's absolutely no excuse for taking customers' money, having such a massive problem, and then no telling them what the problem is or if you can even guess as to a time frame on a fix. Apologies
    are meaningless at this point.

    Now, at 1:30 a.m., my friends are packing up to go home. Our entire plans have been ruined with no explanation as to why. I leave tomorrow morning to go back to Texas. I have no clue as to when I will be able to come back and see my friends again. So

  12. @SkullD1ce: Then your problem is with the people who run Warframe not Microsoft. sadly they are not responsible (even though they are) for purchases out side of their control that you can not take advantage of. Frankly I would contact the company that
    runs warframe inform them of the issues with microfail and see if they wont work with you. I promise you it will be better then trying to force microfail to work faster on their media blunder that call all this crap down on them I am sure.

  14. But the sad thing is no one on the microsoft / Xbox team will message and at least give us information or try talk to there customers... That would just show that they care for there customers and maybe it wouldnt be quiet as bad...

    Another thing is why is there even XBOX LIVE im sure its hard work managing everything to do with XBOX LIVE but if they cant handle XBOX LIVE then why is there even an XBOX?
