There's a popup when you visit XBL rewards, to the effect: "XBL Rewards transforming into MS Rewards in Canada". What does this change mean FOR THE END USER and is it good?

Free 800 Points of Love Problem

Seems like this is an ongoing issue for some people with this promotion as I am also having troubles receiving my promotional rewards for joining XBL Rewards.

On Feb. 24/12, I received an email to join XBL Rewards. To my knowledge, I had not joined this program in the past as I received confirmation later that week upon registering for the program. The promotion was for 800 free MS points for applicable residents
(ie. Canada for myself). Contacted XBL support and on the online chat, Alejandro directed me to post in Section 7 of the Xbox forums. It has now been 6 weeks since joining and no information yet on the points being updated to my account as per Microsoft's
Billing History online.

Can someone from XBL look into this for me?

Xbox Live Rewards merging with Microsoft Rewards

I have both XBox live rewards and Microsoft rewards. Will I still get my XB rewards credits converted into MS rewards points on my existing MS rewards?

It sounds like you may not be browsing in the Canadian locale. Be sure to set your region to your Canadian locale of choice via the change region button in the lower left corner of the website. That link (Xbox Live Rewards)
will then take you to the FAQ for this migration, which is located at the top of the FAQ page. You can also read more about this migration on the Microsoft Rewards FAQ (Microsoft Rewards - Microsoft Rewards ist da).

Hahahaha!!!! 100 MS points for beating a game? I've been a long time member with XBL and my "Birthday reward" was 20 MS points. Their rewards plan is a joke. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on them to reward their customers with anything of substantial
value. This is MS we're talking about here...

The Microsoft Rewards program does not run the same as the Xbox Rewards program so the offers will not be the same. You earn points by using Bing as a search engine, clicking on some of their offers, doing trivia quizzes, etc.

Hi Nic727. Smwutches is correct. We'll be making a deposit of your Rewards Credits to your Microsoft account prior to transferring you so you'll see that in your account next month. Since Microsoft Rewards is a different program, we don't know if they will
provide polls.
