XBL Profile to new Microsoft account

Hi,

I've been looking at transferring my current XBL profile to a new Microsoft account and I was wondering whether the licences for my previous purchases would be carried to the new account as well. My overall plan is to move my current profile to a new Microsoft
account and eventually close my old account as it is no longer needed. Will doing this have implications such as not being able to play or re-download games and content that I'd purchased on the old account?

this has been the latest account along with others.....thats on the first page of google DERP like i said sheep its not hard to find.....the point isnt the numbers at all its about even getting through security once....DERP

Xbox gamertag transfer help

Just log into the gamertag and go online with it on your xbox 360. That's it, it's official. Then use that tag on your xbox one to have all it's stats and stuff.

All right thanks so i just need to use a different Microsoft account on the 360 for xbl and then do i just create a new profile on the one with the same account and gamertag?

Changing the Microsoft account just changes the email address attached to your account for sign-in. Everything else will remain on the account.

i have the disc, but my old profile is an OLD profile and i obviously dont pay for xbl on it anymore. how do i start a new profile with the disc on my CURRENT xbl account ?

I never said you have to create a new WLID for each site. While you may use the same WLID to authenticate to each site, you still have to create an account at each site the first time you access it. Start with a XBL WLID account and you will need to set
up your Zune profile/account and your Bungie profile/account. Come in with a WLID set up with an account on Bungie.net, you need to create a new account on XBL and Zune. For XBL if your Bungie.net ID/ALIAS matches that of an already existing XBL user you
will be asked to choose a new ID/Alias for XBL.

@billow - because they services are not so closely linked together as some may think they are. The only linkage is your WLID. Have that compromised and that's like giving less than savoury invdividuals the keys to your house.
