XBL Membership fee problems

Hi, I recently switched from a monthly renewal to the annual one. I noticed after the second month that even though I'd paid the yearly fee Microsoft were still charging me the monthly rate as well. I went into my account information and it shows both memberships
as being active. Yet when I then go to cancel the monthly renewal, it tells me the only membership I have is the annual one. Can something please be done about this, or I will go to my bank and have them block the money from leaving my account. I'm not paying
twice every month!

[/quote] That right there, shows the position of ignorance you are arguing your point of view from. None of the fee you pay for Gold membership goes towards you access those app.s Your gold membership is so you have access to online features, such as MP,
Party Chat, and Co-op. The fee you pays goes towards maintaining the XBL servers and covering the costs of developers being provided with the software to run their game through XBL. The reason You cannot access the Free apps without a gold account is because
you do not have access to the onlien features of XBL. The addition of these apps did not in anyway increase the cost of XBL. it would be the same without them.

If i remove a payment

Normally, if your account isnt part of any XBL gold membership, you should be able to remove it without any problems.

As for the season pass, it's already been purchased so removing the card will not give you any problems when the new items are released.

Youl'll have to call. Also FYI its cheaper to buy one year cards online (usually 40-45 dollars) then to pay the auto renew which is 59 dollars.

Not if it is actually public information. It has been known for a long time what our XBL Gold fees goes toward. The servers, The framework for Arcade titles and other releases to work on XBL. MS supplies everything Devs need to implement MP access over XBL,
and our fees pay for that.

If that was the case? Microsoft would've made Netflix access, and the rest of the free internet apps available to all members, and not fire-walling them off to pad their Gold subscription base.

Microsoft puts the fees onto Live, because they know most of the kid's parents will pay for it (unlike the PC community).
