XBL gold discounts for renewing subscribers?

I used to get emails for 12 month gold subscriptions at a discount for being a return customer. If no email then a notification tab on the xbox dashboard would show up. Nothing this year. Did they stop the promotion?

Also not happy that the autorenewal kicked in a week early!

When I asked them to cancel it, they kindly did, however According to my account I now have no XBL because the autorenewal was cancelled. Apparently the renewal date seems to slowly slide backwards and if you don't make the early date you're dropped?! How
is it a year is not a year anymore?

Playstation Plus users pay for early demos, discounts and XBL GOLD get early demos and we get deal of the week so there isnt a different between PS Plus and Gold XBL.

Yes it is. But I do have to wonder if buying point cards why you didnt just buy the subscription card? In any event feel free to visit the feedback forums
