XBL Enforcement changed my name. I apologize if this is the wrong location for this post, but ...

Earlier today my name was changed by xbox live enforcement. My original GT was
[Mod Removed]. Now, I know that if you try hard enough, you could find someone whom this name could offend . But honestly, nipples? Is that truly offensive? Everyone has them. I also spoke to a member of XBL customer support, who notified me
that my name could be "offensive to black people". Pathetic. That response, in itself, is racist. When one hears the word "chimp" the first reaction should not be a though of Africans. That Microsoft subscribes to the societal spread of super-political correctness
makes me question why I am a customer. My name was never intended to be offensive/racist, just a laugh. That someone would misconstrue it to be a racist colloquial is their own problem, not mine. When you sign in to xbox live, you accept the fact that, like
anywhere on the internet, you take the chance of running into something you don't like. They GT it assigned me was . Those two words, Dainty and Whelp, could each be offensive to me. Dainty- what if I have a genetic condition preventing me from
growing? A whelp is a small dog, but is often used as an aggressive title, e.g."Come here you little whelp!" Now what if I decided that, in calling me DaintyWhelp, they were calling me a ***? My point here is that anything can be offensive if you let it be.
I'm not asking for my name back, but can someone please see the broken logic in this and give me a free name change? I think that seeing as I have had my name for 3 years or so, and was rather attached to it, I am not trying to scam the system for a free name.
Over the years I have had quite a few messages telling me that they had a good laugh at my name, or that once they saw who they were killed by, they weren't even mad. I never intended this to be an abrasive, offensive name. Also, seeing as I know that the
generic response to this post is to refer to the Terms of Use and the xbox live policy, please have the bit referring to "offensive names" ready, as I seemed to have missed what qualified. Thanks in advance for any help.

Enforcement - Gamertag changed

Hi,

My gamertag was changed today by the enforcement team. I talked to xbox support and they said to make a post on the forum as it is monitored by the enforcement team. Im not sure if the is the correct location but its the closest i could find.

My gamertag was for 9 years and today it was changed by the enforcement team as it was deemed offensive. I can't understand how this is offensive in anyway which lead me to believe it was a result of being reported after games.

I have been playing gears of war 4 and have been playing quite well which has lead to winning a decent amount. Since the first option in the report drop down menu is related to gamertag i believe this could be the cause. (Fastest option to report, just have
to double a)

I have received a decent amount of unprovoked hate mail after matches that i have performed well in so i strongly believe this name change is a result of wrongful accusation.

The service request number i received from support was 1362536317

If this is not the correct forum i would appreciate it if i was redirected to the right location.

Wrongly accused

Don't worry about it. If you did nothing wrong, nothing will happen. Xbox.com is not the appropriate location for Reporting anyone who does not follow the ToU/ CoC.

The only true and correct method for Filing a Complaint is via the Console. That Filed Complaint is viewed by the XBL Policy Enforcement Team. They don't go on "word" or number of Filed Complaints. They go simply by the Information on XBL itself.

I'm sorry that this is happening, but there is nothing to be done. They best thing you could do is go to the "banned & suspension" section of the forums and see if the enforcement team will give you a better description. otherwise, you'll have to pay to
change your gamertag again.

It doesn't need to be "offensive" to anybody for the name to be a violation of the Code of Conduct. They do not offer any free name changes to anyone. They aren't going to change that just for you. You will need to pay to change
it, or just live with the name you got.

So something that everyone has, as a generic part of human anatomy, is now "sexual"? What has happened to Microsoft? Some *** player on XBL decided that he was mad, so reported me? And that is grounds for a name change to something more offensive than my
previous name?

Your name must be rated E for wvveryone at All times

 

And Microsoft is currently in beta with the enforcement team, Ambassadors cycle through multiple gamertags to see if there offensive.

 

That's not the enforcement team but a subgroup

Amabasssadors do not make the final call on name changes they have just help things along by performing one review

 

Exactly, the PET always have the final say no matter what. Ambassadors in no way, shape or form have anything to do with enforcement issues.
