XBL Comm Bans are funny in most situations

I'm sure I'm not the only one but I've been a Xbox live user since the release of gears of war 1 and have continued to play throughout the past 10 years. Now I have seen friends getting banned for this thing or the other thing but one thing I've never understood
is how someone can be reviewing these communication infractions and not see if the person who filed the complaint was actually antagonizing a person into response. I don't see how it is acceptable that someone can start "trash talking" or using "negative"
slurs against people and then when they get a response and find that they aren't as funny as they originally thought, they then have the option to run to XBL Enforcement to say "this guy is bullying me." Even though they originally initiated the who negative
conversation. I understand there are some real almonds in the XBL community but i see people getting other people banned for replying to there non-sense with non-sense is just dumb.

And you know the funny part? Microsoft INSISTS on making it a bannable offense to swear in voice comms "because children play on XBL", when it is in fact the children doing the most swearing.

Irony has never stared me in the face so hard until now.

Well I consulted with multiple people who own Xbones and the consensus was you literally get banned for anything. Tell someone to fuck off? Two weeks comms ban. Friend uses your system for ten minutes tells someone to shut the fuck up? Two weeks comms ban. I've had multiple people tell me this, and this alone deterred me frm purchasing an Xbone.

 

Doesn't matter who started it,if you retaliate in a way that violates the ToU/CoC then you run the risk of being suspended.

It's always been this way but now people have caught on that they can provoke someone just to report them so they get a suspension.

If someone is harassing you over live just report & block them.If you must retaliate then do so in a way that doesn't break the rules.

 

half the time people dont violate anything and they are still banned / suspended for little to no reason. And before you say my claims are false, google it. youtube it. ask around. The enforcement team has a reputation for being unfair. Please stop white knighting
for them.

You do not get banned for no reason.
