XBL Code Redemption / Account Management Error

Hello, I am trying to activate my redemption code; however, every time I try to redeem it on the website (xbox.com) it doesn't accept the code (just gives me a blank screen). I'm on OSX 10.10.2 using the latest version of Google Chrome.

This was a brand new card purchased from Microsoft on Amazon... what should I do - is there another way to enter it?

NOTE: I had to purchase XBL in the meantime without the code redemption in order to make a tournament I paid $40 to enter, so I just need the difference added to my account or reimbursed, if that's okay. I have receipts for both transactions.

Hi, congoloks! I searched for your error code and I was able to find this:
support.xbox.com/.../error-code-80151006. In the article, it says that the Microsoft account is valid but not associated with an XBL account. Are you sure you are using the same e-mail address that is tied to your XBL account? Here is how to find out
what MS account is tied to your gamertag:
support.xbox.com/.../forgot-microsoft-account

Don't know if I'm being stupid or not but can I import my metallica tracks onto WOR? I've been on the website and entered codes from both manuals (with the dashes) and it keeps saying redemption code error? Can us Brits definitely import or is it US only?

Just wondered why my codes aren't working?

Hi there, so was the code for MS currency or was it an Xbox Live Gold subscription? Please note that you cannot use currency added to your account to buy gold subscriptions.

Have you tried redeeming on the console itself? Steps here:
support.xbox.com/.../redeem-prepaid-codes

I believe you can also try at the following link, scroll to the bottom and select 'redeem gift card'
commerce.microsoft.com

My understanding was the redemption code needed to be entered on the website to get the guide rather than via XBL.

Is it possible the code was redeemed on a different account that was signed in? If you're still having troubles with the redemption, please let us know so we can best help out.

No, I tried to redeem the code on the same account that was signed in and when I go to the redemption page I get the error message.

Have you tried to redeem the codes directly on your Xbox 360? I know that the XBL Service page indicated that code redemption was down earlier, but that seems to have been resolved now.
