XBL and MW3 + Other Call of Duty Titles

When MW3 first came out there was a lot of talk about how Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games would deal with cheaters and boosters. Gaining in-game rank or obtaining weapon camouflage harms nobody. It soon became apparent to me that the game makers
did not understand the mindset of a cheater or case and point a booster. They did as they said they would do and started banning and resetting player accounts on both Xbox and Play Station but this was not done in a set way with all offenders of this rule.
Some were reset but kept all there stats while others were reset in every respect but were left with only all deaths, which was childish behaviour from those with the ability to hand down punishments. Many also got away with it completely so this was not fully
investigated before actions were taken. What they failed to realise is that the most effective way was to not exclude stats gaining of the player but to ban them from being listed on the leader boards. The harshness of the process they used just made a high
percentage to no longer play as whether you agree or not the outcomes were unfair as each player has their own way to play.

Most people I have spoken with agreed to main thing that upsets a legit gamer were leader board gains that undone the hard work of someone fully legit. Aside from my take on this currently Xbox is being made obsolete by excluding the playing of back
catalogue games on the new Xbox One and this is *** right out of order, no thought is being given to the financial investments of users. I have not yet purchased the new console as a result. Microsoft really need to resolve this issue because if they did they
would see a new hike in console sales and appeal to all those that have already made their purchases as it would reunite them with old friends and after all it is not just console gaming but a Community of loyalty, the loyalty should be both ways.

Back to MW3 I have recently started playing again as I was myself reset twice from 7th and later from 3rd, punished twice for the same offence but back in 2012. My offence was 6 games 1 v 1 to gain some titles and was reset but later reset again for
the same offence. I called the helpline to ask why this had occurred and they were less than helpful, rude in fact. This was not uncommon as online reviews show many cases of no care. With my return to the game from the top of the leader board tabbing down
a page at a time I gave up passed the top 200 pages which are full of leader board hackers and this is not just all time leader boards but every separate leader board. It got me thinking what about the rules they had. I went back into full swing of playing
and although a little rusty something just seemed wrong.

I then discovered players, tons of them using Invisible God mode accounts. I looked it up online and this has been happening for around 1 Year. Have the game makers given up on their guarantees to the player Community. They are going around in the
game with Impunity and simply getting away with it. I am disgusted and once again the world web is full of people complaining but no action from Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, even the Elite System is been inactivated. It is like they have just got
peoples hard earned cash and milked the game as much as they can and just moved on. They are utterly disgraceful.

Something Microsoft need to take an interest in is there XBL means a player must have Gold Membership to use the online multiplayer service. These God Mode accounts on nearly all Call of Duty titles come with no requirement to have Gold. The people
that provide these accounts offer this as an extra and I have seen many of them playing on Silver accounts. I am certain game makers have contracts with Microsoft and Sony and as such Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games should be under obligation to resolve
all the above issues or be in breech and fined or banned from releasing future titles until they take responsibility and act in line with such agreements. The games makers may have filled their pockets with our cash but there will be huge losses to the console
makers from live accounts.

My question is what are you going to do about it. This Invisible and God mode saga is not inspiring.

I am losing all faith. Bring back Activision, they got it right first time.

Support MW2 IW

If they made it where MW3 maps could be played on MW2 im pretty much sure fewer people would buy MW3. I agree with you about continuing to support older Call of Duty titles though, it's not like they are hard at work bringing tons of innovation to the new
Call of Duty titles they release.

 

Some key questions about Call of Duty Elite answered.

Both previous Modern Warfare games has had the least DLC in comparison to all other Call of Duty titles. If Activision follow the same trend with MW3, to receive all DLC packs for MW3 with ELITE will hardly seem worth it.

 

Hey there, WRG SUICIDE! I appreciate you making this detailed post about the state of multiplayer gaming in Call of Duty games. I can see that you are incredibly passionate about this, and we love encouraging that!

When your stats are reset in game, that is actually all done on the developer side. Xbox doesn't have control over any of that. All of these suggestions would be terrific to pass along to them to see if they might change up what they do when they punish cheaters.

If you believe that someone is cheating, please file a complaint against that user so that our Enforcement team can take a look into their account. The Enforcement team takes every report seriously,
and will investigate to see if that particular user needs to be removed from Xbox Live.
