    I previously had the original XB1 and had no issues still using my computer to browse the web while that xbox was downloading/updating. Since I got my X back in NOV if it's downloading/updating games I just sit in my office staring at browser windows loading
    at 56Kbps or worse speed. IE Just status circles spinning and white pages galore.

    I have a 200meg connection so this shouldn't be happening. Using Netgear R7000 wire hard wired connections using CAT6 cables.

    xb1x - network offline mode, not working all game( It worked in the xb1 )

    Slow download speeds on Xbox One X

    I'm on 120Mbit cable. Most downloads I get an actual throughput of about 15-16MB/sec.

    I have a PC and my XB1X on the same LAN at home here.

    I did a speed test and it showed around 70 Mbit on the Xbox One X.

    I did a speedtest on my PC and it showed 120 Mbit.

    It really makes downloading large games a real pain.

    Why is the Xbox One X so slow on networking speeds?!?

    1: YES it was the only device using the network when I did the test.

    2: YES it has the latest updates

    3: YES I've run the test multiple times to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

    4: YES I know network speeds vary according to how much usage is occurring. I always get 120Mbit for my PC, 70Mbit for the XB1X.

    Ideas?

    I was also playing FM7 last night while SWBF2 was downloading and I had a small box pop up that said low bandwith. Why does the xb1x suck so much internet when downloading? Never had this issue with the original XB1. 200meg connection shouldn't choke.

    I take it you're WiFi on both your PC and XB1X and you used a diagnostic speed test site. Biggest problem is with majority of these tools, is the fact they are server side and test speeds to your gateway/router/modem and not your home WiFi network. Theoretical
    speeds are exactly that, actual WiFi speeds tend to be lower. The reality is, you could be getting 120mbps into your home but WiFi is putting out 60mps.
    Hehe.. no... I don't use Wifi for anything except my phone. Wifi is for amateurs :p

    I'm on 120Mbit cable, PC and XB1X are on same LAN - same cablemodem/router. Cat6/Cat7 cable going to them.

    Every time I do a speed test I get the full 120Mbit for my PC, and only 60Mbit for my XB1X.

    I recently had to reinstall GTA5 from disc and download an update during installation back onto a XB1X after losing a 4TB external drive. The disc files were relatively quick compared to the network files. All up the installation was 90GB and took at least 4hrs or so.

    How to play games on Xbox without internet

    Hi Russell.

    For offline gaming on the Xbox, Make sure that you xbox is set as your home console and you have downloaded all updates for the games you want to play.

    Then before hitting the road, go to the network settings and select Go offline. It's the same place you go online again, when you are back home.
