    XB1X FreeSync monitor compatibility


    hey guys,

    Looking into a new FreeSync compatible monitor. Lots of Q’s.. can Xbox one x put out 1080p 8bit? What version of FreeSync it’s running? I’m not so focused on 4K. The monitor I’m looking at is rather new. LG 27mp59g-p. I would like to confirm that
    the two will do what I want.

    1080p 8bit

    FreeSync

    60hz

    I under the impression I should fine. But before I get this monitor I can’t return. It’s online. I’m getting the right one.

    4K Monitor for Xbox One X?

    Has anyone found a monitor (27" - 32") they can confirm works with the XB1X to produce 4K? I am struggling to find any that clearly do. I purchased an LG
    27UD68-W 27-Inch 4K UHD IPS Monitor with FreeSync (2017)     - which on its face has all the right specs - but which I will be returning because through HDMI it meets none with the XB1X outputs (it also has FreeSync - but not through HDMI)

    Thanks in advance for anyone who has suggestions!

    Free sync problems

    I have a monitor with freesync 40-60 range. I have freesync over hdmi. Freesync is not working with my monitor. It is supposed to automatically activate but the monitor shows it is not on.

    Any recommendations for good compatible gaming monitors that support Xbox One X's 120Hz with Freesync working simultaneously, preferably with a 1ms response time? I've been searching around and I've already purchased supposedly compatible monitors
    that supported 120Hz and Freesync enabled over HDMI 2.0 recently and returned them for not actually working simultaneously-120Hz and Freesync with the XB1X. Seems the XB1X console is picky on which monitor it wants to work with. I did actually purchase and
    returned recently the MSI Optix MPG27CQ 1440p gaming monitor with 144Hz and Freesync which was compatible(120Hz and Freesync) over HDMI 2.0 with the XB1X but had a defect in a color issue and I had to return. Any help for recommendations I can get to work
    with this XB1X console to this date, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks?
    Id stay away from 4k for comp it is not going to help as much as fps and refresh

    what do u mean it wasnt syncing? You know you have to adjuct the display and XB1 settings? auto settings are awful.

    Did you set the monitor to game mode?

    1. Splendid > Game Mode

    4. Image > • Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync is not selectable?

    Try connect in other HDMI-1 (V2.0), HDMI-2 (V2.0) port.

    It's possible that the freesync is only available with DisplayPort, if it's not specified specially as HDMI FreeSync support.

    Yes adaptive-sync/freesync is graymarked so its not even selectable :/

    Its a bummer if the specs on the monitor doesnt say "not compatible with freesync on hdmi" i dont understand really why it wouldnt. If the technology is in the device it should be avaliable on all ports that suports it. I just bought this monitor with soul
    purpose to play my xbox one x with freesync so im really down :/

    Xbox one s 1440p 120hz problems

    Hi,

    This monitor only supports 100Hz over HDMI with FreeSync turned ON (higher via Display Port).

    With FreeSync OFF this monitor does support 1440p @ 120Hz as per the Manual and LG support.

    This makes means that with FreeSync ON you will be limited to 60Hz with xbox. Can you try turning off FreeSync via the Monitor and/or untick Variable Refresh Rate on the xbox. Hopefully this makes 120Hz available to you.
