Discus and support XB1S - Password prompt before purchase in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Despite me doing these steps over and over: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/security/passkey-purchases i still have to write down my password...     XB1S - Password prompt before purchase


    Despite me doing these steps over and over: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/security/passkey-purchases i still have to write down my password before any purchase in Xbox one store. I've been trying to find any settings in Microsoft store on pc
    and been searching around for this on google for a couple of weeks now, but all i can find is similar links from Xbox themself or others wanted to have this key thingy because of kids. I alone have access to this console, nobody else.

    I know that i still need to write my password for Xbox 360 games, but even with "No restrictions settings" and "No passkey required before purchase" i still have to "log in" in store. How can i get rid of this small nuisance.

    Can this be because i'm getting logged in automatically trough my gamepad or something else?

    Hope i'm not in the wrong forum section either.

    THanks. His brother and him are the only two that play it. So I can just put the password on the one account I guess. How do I set up the password needed before buying anything? Thanks!

    remove your credit card and use prepaid cards instead.

    Hi writing your password is a security feature. The only way around it is buying through a computer that has your password info saved so you can just click and buy.

    Hey Jim,

    Thanks for reaching out man! We'll try our best to sort this our for you. With the info you provided, I have two ideas in mind, either your settings for whatever reason are not being saved or the account is not syncing up. I want you to try

    removing and re-adding your account
    on your console by doing the following:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > Account
      > Remove accounts.
    3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.
    4. When you're finished, select Close.
    You will be prompted to setup your preferences again. If it turns out your security settings are not being saved, try changing them from the Xbox by going to: Settings>Account>Privacy and online safety>Xbox Live privacy>Cusom/View details and customize

    You will be prompted to setup your preferences again. If it turns out your security settings are not being saved, try changing them from the Xbox by going to: Settings>Account>Privacy and online safety>Xbox Live privacy>Cusom/View details and customize
