Discus and support XB1 / XB Series X - Family Gaming Set-up in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a XB1 (not an XB1S/X). I plan on purchasing a XB Series X and a second TV.     XB1 / XB Series X - Family Gaming Set-up


    I have a XB1 (not an XB1S/X). I plan on purchasing a XB Series X and a second TV. The goal is to have the family teamed up in-game. Will this work? Will the new Series X be compatible with the XB1? I know the games are backwards compatible. I want to be
    sure my family can team up using the older console and newer one. Buying two new consoles and a new TV is not financially feasible.

    Yes, that's how it is meant to work. Backwards compatibility is full backwards compatibility which means online play will work just as it does now. You'll be able to play other Xbox users, even if they are still on the original Xbox One.

    EASY FIX have one main XB as primary.. set up all other accounts as gold under that XB1.. sign into 2nd 3rd and 4th XB1 as guest using your gamertag IE do not make it a primary...

    one XB GOLD account = 5 gamertags

    also this will help with games... make sure each game you purchase is under the primary console
