    XB1 wont power up


    my girlfriend just bought her new xbox one today from Game store in the UK, were both sitting here trying to start it up but it wont power up. It initially turns on but after about 2-3 seconds you hear a click from the console and it powers off without so
    much as a flicker on the screen, at the moment the xbox is plugged directly into the wall socket and the hdmi into the back of her 2 year old panasonic hd smart tv. we so far have tried different sockets, we have tried unplugging the power adaptor box from
    the cable, now lastly we are going to try it on a different tv in a last ditch attempt to get it working. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated?

    Need help, few questions

    it should work in lower power state.... just wont have the guide overlay etc working until the XB1 wakes up...

    Xb1 elite console

    hi just recently upgraded from 500gb xb1 to the elite,I set up the console and all went ok,I've set up me kinect and everything just fine but it wont send power on or off comand to my soundbar its all set up works well with voice commands etc its set to
    toggle on device power and wont turn off or on when powering off or on,my tv fine,sat box fine all work with power comand just wandering if anyone as had this issue,all devices worked well on my 500gb cant understand why the elite.ive system cleared disconected
    kinect and set it up again and still nothing.

    Network adaptor not working when "instant-on" power mode enabled upon boot.

    For what it's worth, PS4 will wake from sleep no problem on the same wifi. It's funny. After getting wifi to work again on xb1, upon a power off in instant on mode, it wont wake from the windows 10 app, and wont be connected to wifi again.. ugh.

    Yes even CNN's weekly "New Tech" show called Microsoft out on the false advertising that the XB1 had "pass-through" when it didn't back when it came out. CNN didn't count it as being pass-through either since the unit has to be totally on for it to work.

    We would love to hook ours up that way to save having to switch inputs on the Surround Sound receiver if the XB1 worked that way but the last time we tested it back last fall when we upgraded from our original XB1 500Gb to the XB1 Elite 1000Gb it still did
    not pass-through so we don't (and wont) have it hooked up that way until they fix that so it will pass-through the HDMI signal when the XB1 is off, or at least in low-power standby.

    I got idea what they are thinking of. It could mess up XB1 standby option. For instance if you power down everything through power strip switch and thus lock XB1 into standby state.
