Xb1 won't play backward compatible anymore

Discus and support Xb1 won't play backward compatible anymore in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have cleaned the persistent storage, a hard reset, a FACTORY reset....everything.     Xb1 won't play backward compatible anymore


    I have cleaned the persistent storage, a hard reset, a FACTORY reset....everything. Its like it doesn't even acknowledge I put a disk in. Will play XB1 discs, movie blu rays just fine. After I take the disc in and out like twice, then it won't eject it anymore. Have to power off/on to get disc out. FED UP!

    Please try a DVD movie in the console, There are two lasers, one that reads Blu-ray is the one that reads CDs and DVDs, if the DVD laser has failed it will not be able to read the disk

    As far as your injection issue, it certainly sounds like the drive is in the middle of sailing, and you will need to send it in for service

    To make Xbox 360 games work, they are "translated" to x64 language, and then uploaded to the Xbox Marketplace. When you insert a disc, it's just a "proof of purchase", and the actual game data is downloaded from the Xbox Marketplace. Also, it might be your DNS code you can google a DNS code for your region

    I have the games installed, have played them quite a few times. When I put one in now, it doesn't even acknowledge I put a disk in on main screen. When I go to "games and apps" and find the artwork, click on it, for about 10 sec it will say "getting your game ready" then flip over to "do you own this game or app" screen.

    Perhaps the disc reader is defective and needs to be replaced. Does this happen with a single disc or all discs you have?

    hey, there have you read this? Does it just show Play Disc on the Home screen or nothing at all? Backward compatible games even if you have the disc require a download in order to play them. When you click play disc it should prompt a download as long as you are connected to Xbox live.
