XB1 won't auto sign in after February update.

I had my system set to auto sign in my gamertag with no passcode or password required. It worked fine until this past update. Now it won't auto sign me in and when I manually do it, it asks for my password. How do I fix this? It's a pain in the rear.

Same problem here. After the update, the XB1 won't restart.

Seems like its either not downloading the updates while you have the XB1 off or you are leaving it on in which case its not going to update until you turn it off your message isnt entirely clear in that regard. Considering you said you "normally do not turn my Xbox One however"

If you turn the XB1 off with auto update on it will update. If you dont turn the XB1 off it will never auto update you will have to manually do it.

Auto Update is a feature that is used when the Xbox is off but still in that low lower state. It doesnt work when the XB1 is on.

 

Nobody else is having this issue? I've also noticed that it gives me a "sorry" message in my notifications each time it fails to sign me in automatically. I've changed all the setting for it and back again. Unplugged the system after each change and
nothing.

 

Found the problem. A while ago I changed the email address associated with my Live account via my phone. My old email address was still saved on my X1 but before the update, it didn't affect anything. After the update, the system must have noticed the
discrepancy and required my password each time. I just deleted my gamertag from the system and entered it again with the correct email and all is good. Problem solved.
