XB1 Wireless Controller Adapter Headset Issue.

I have downloaded and installed the Xbox Accessories App. After starting it, I am greeted with the picture of the controller my computer is signed into but there is no functionality.

I updated my firmware on the XB1, Audio (both headset and mic) works perfect connected via USB, but receiving sound (headset) does not work while people in the party could still hear me when connected wirelessly through the new adapter.

Support (or anyone that has had any luck with a work-around) please advise. Thank you.

Cannot Sync Xbox One Wireless controller with adapter for Windows 10!

I bought a XB1 Wireless Controller with Adapter for Windows. Currently I'm running on Windows 10. My computer cannot detect the connection between the Adapter and Wireless Controller, nothing was detected on the Game Controller application as well as Xbox
Accessories App (Store).

I tried with XB1 micro-USB as well and nothing seem to work.

Had anyone faced the same issue as me?

Xbox One Headset Adapter

I am a convert from playstation and i am still confused why i need an adapter and a cable to get mic chat to work with my wireless headset. is everyone just used to having to connect a cable from their headset to the controller? i really hate this.

the headset base is connected to the xb1 via usb... this seems like a software issue to me, if i can transmit audio wirelessly why can chat not be transmitted to the base and by extension the xb1?

This seemed to fix the audio issue I was having with the controller connected via the Wireless Adapter (it worked via USB but not wirelessly until I manually updated said network adapter driver).

"You must update the drivers (under Device Manager on Control Panel):

Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click "Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows" > Update Driver Software > Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software

Make sure that "USB Audio Device" is selected for playback devices under sound settings. Next to the date & time in the windows task bar (bottom right corner of your screen) you will see a speaker icon, right-click and selected "Playback Devices",
then select Headphones (aka USB Audio Device). Hit ok"

I will share with you my two cents after having this same issue on my BRAND NEW XB1 Sunset bundle controller.

Controller turns off instantly after plugging in either the headset adapter OR chat headset. Controller firmware is up to date, performed hard reset, tested with friends controllers and headsets ect.

Bottom line is, this is either an outstanding firmware issue that they have yet to resolve or their is an issue in their manufacturing processes that causes defective controllers to shut off when any chat adapter is plugged in.

Thanks, so just to clarify.

So, is this issue happening when you connect your controller to the wireless adapter and then your wireless headset to your PC bluetooth?

Or do you want to connect both devices to the wireless adapter only?

My controllers disconnect quite often and I know why. I own this astro RX/TX wireless adapter for a headset:

If it is on, the controllers have issues. If it is off, they work perfectly. Do you guys have wireless headsets or adapters like this? They may be your problem.
