I got a letter from game Friday saying my warranty is nearly up and to go into store to renew so depending on the retailers you can extend whenever

Hello everyone

When I picked-up my $400 Kinectless Xbox One bundle and was offered the 1 year premium extended warranty for $90, I didn't even have to think about it because it made perfect sense for me to get it

Take this for example...

If I didn't pick up the 1 year premium extended warranty and my Xbox One stops working after the default 1 year warranty expires; I have to pay to get it repaired and wait for about 3 to 4 weeks to get my console (or a Refurbished Replacement Console) back.

With the 1 year premium extended warranty, all I have to do is go back to the store and swap it out for a replacement Kinectless Xbox One bundle up to the year 2016; no questions asked on what happend to the console.

Furthermore (since I take really good care of my stuff), I am hoping that I won't have to go back to the store and actually use this warranty at all.

After rereading the OP's statement, it just seems to me that he was complaining (just like any of us would at this point), but also giving a warning to new people that might be buying their console new here in the future. I mean the Xbox one is going to
be only 349.00 coming up here soon.

@Lei: A year warranty costed you 90 dollars? Where the heck did you get your Xbox? That's too much. 3 year was only 57 for me.

Oops, it is actually a 2 year extended warranty and that means that my Xbox One is covered for ANYTHING until 2017

I just looked at my extended warranty and my Xbox One is only covered until the year 2016 (not 2017).

$90.00 ($7.50 a month for 12 months) for an extra year to simply swap my console in the store if ANYTHING happens to it; totally worth it

I think a lot of people have missed what I believe was the OP's point. Why does Microsoft only give you 45 days to purchase the extended warranty? Like I said on all the other company's consoles you can purchase the extended warranty any time In the first
12 months which it sounds like he was trying to do.

It shows a low confidence level in there hardware imo. Same goes for the short controller warranty.

You guys should relax on the OP a bit he actually makes a decent point. The only thing to compare the situation too is if he bought the "other" console. They let you add the extended warranty any time in the first 12 months that your covered under the original
warranty..

And there controllers have a 12 month warranty instead of a 90 day. Microsoft should step there warranty game up.

I was under the impression that I could extend the warranty like I did the 360's as long as the console was under warranty. I don't feel entitled to a life time warranty I was just halfway complaining, halfway trying to post so anyone who doesn't know does
and adds the service extend within the timeframe. you forum heads are ridiculous

Three year extended warranty here as well, though i'll probably never need it the peace of mind is nice. I doubt you will have any issues either OP, just enjoy the console; that's why you bought it in the first place.
