XB1 USB Tuner

    Hi,

    anyone here using USB tuner with HEVC/h.265 in UNSUPPORTED (no media guide) area? Is it worth trying?

    does any external HD work with XB1?

    On a related note, how many HDD can the XB1 support? I remember reading somewhere someone mentioning it was 2 external drives. But with 3 USB ports on the XB1 or adding in a powered USB 3.0 hub, could it support more? Currently I have the USB tv tuner in 1 port, a 2TB HDD in another, and a media one for my music, but I'd like to add another 2TB maybe.

    USB Digital TV Tuner no longer finds any channels after disconnecting, reconnecting and rescanning

    This may be irrelevant, but I have a question about the TV tuner. I understand that you plug the tuner into the XB1 through USB, not HDMI. I have an Xbox 360 hooked up to my XB1 through the HDMI-in port. In order to play 360 games, I have to use the TV app,
    and the TV tuner uses the TV app as well in order to work. I also understand that when you plug in the TV tuner, the OneGuide separates the TV tuner channels from the "HDMI content". My question is this: if I have a TV tuner with a coax cable connected through
    the XB1's USB port AND an Xbox 360 connected through the XB1'S HDMI-in port (both at the same time), can I switch between my Xbox 360 and my TV tuner when using the TV app? Thanks for the help!

    I'm afraid tuner DOES is supported in half of the EU (Germany, UK, Poland …), BUT MY COUNTRY XB1 USB Tuner :( because of no media guide.

    Anyway I gave it try - set up location to DE, chosen some German ZIP and was able to tune about 100 channels and SOMEHOW display them.

    Will go on testing (not easy: channel names don't fit the left column so its hard to see which is HD, T2, legacy). EPG gets downloaded from transponders partially so I can see what's going on in next XXX hours ...

    Xbox One Cable/Directv Question

    Take the HDMI cable that runs from the back of your TV tuner out of the back of the TV and then plug it into the HDMI IN on the back of the XB1.. the XB1's out wire then goers to your TV. Both the XB1 and your DTV Tuner will run off of that single wire...
