    XB1 Sync issues when playing DVD or Bluray discs


    I've had my XB1 since last December (2015), using it quote regularly for films, either on DVD or Bluray. Recently, probably about a month ago, it started to have very bad syncing issues with the sound. The on screen action and the sound / speech is about
    half a second out. I've not changed the setup or settings. I've tried it directly with the TV ,and through my AV amp. either way the problem is the same. Is this a known problem? Anyone know how to diagnose / fix it?

    Weird problem with xbox one

    I would send the unit back to the store for replacement, blueray drives have 2 laser lenses one for blueray and one red laser for cd/dvd discs, could be the blueray one is out of alignment or another issue, also blueray discs are a smidging thicker than
    dvd discs. Definately send it for repair.

    Blu-ray Player - audio sync, volume, unable to play disc, and freezing issues.

    Within the last week or two I started having problems with audio out of sync, DVD/BD discs not playable, and freezing while either Blu-ray player app is starting or when skipping tracks. I've noticed it more since the forced Blu-ray player app update. The
    system volume is also significantly lower when playing discs. Problem occurs with multiple discs, all of which play perfectly on my PS3.

    Games, Netflix and TV apps don't seem to have the audio sync or lower volume issues.

    Blu Ray Player will not read movies

    I’m still having issues playing bluray movies. No problem with games, dvds and even 3d blurays.

    it doesn’t pop an error code up... just says “NO DISC” when i launch the bluray app.

    constant problems DVD Xbox One S - why bother?

    Did yoi download the bluray app?

    Also enable auto start disc in the app options so when you do stick a disc in it starts

    Even ps4 you had to download the app

    Off the shelf dvd players dont have any other functiom but to play dvds

    You gotta remember not all discs are bluray or dvd

    Some can be mixed media or a bluray live disc (usually your xtras disc )

    Series X not playing certain DVD movies properly

    I'm having this issue as well as standard DVD disc's that play fine in a DVD player all my bluray disc's play fine. I see that all the attempts lead to returning the Xbox.

    There are several questionable statements in the OP's posts, but the region-free bit of the XB1 only applies to games.

    Each Xbox One console is manufactured for a specific Blu-ray and DVD region, following international standards. The Xbox One console can play Blu-ray discs and DVDs that are sold in the same region as the console. See the following tables for the countries
    in each disc region.

    Note Game discs for the Xbox One console are not coded to regions.
