XB1 screen issues

    XB1 screen issues


    Hi my XB1 is only a few months old but I have started to notice an issue with the screen.

    After using it for an hour or so I get pink lines going across the screen horizontally.

    I have tried another HDMI port on the TV and it's the same, and I have tried other HDMI cables.

    Anyone have other suggestions.

    Tried hard reset etc

    Me too. After the AC4 title screen I see a quick snow screen flash then it stays at a black screen. I tried restoring the xb1 to factory default, and reinstall the game to no avail. I'm already *** and considering returning the xb1. If this is something
    that I'm gonna have to live with as an xb1 owner, then it ain't worth it.

    Is the a way to turn off ads on XB1 Home screen yet, or is my XB1 still a fancy billboard?

    XB1 screen issues

    Have you tried a different T.V.? If so and still happens the xbox may be over heating. try moving it to a location with free moving air or better to test blow a fan on it to see if it gets the lines anymore.

    Hi sorry I should've said that, I have tried it on another screen and it was the same, it's in a pretty open well ventilated spot, I can't hear the fans going, I know they are meant to be very silent on the XB1 though.

    I am inclined to call the shop and get it replaced as it's still under warranty.

    Hi NinjaJohnno,

    Sorry you're having issues with your Xbox display. That is definitely not normal behavior for the Xbox One. Follow this link below to make sure all your display settings are correct. If your settings are setup for Auto-Detect, try manually setting
    your 1080p, and other settings instead of using the auto-detect method. If you still experience issues after changing the settings, then you could try a factory reset (if you're going to send the console in, you may as well). After doing those steps, you still
    see the horizontal lines, I would recommend that you send the console in for repair using the link below.

    As I posted on the other one, the port is probably bad that goes out to your tv. Mine has never been moved, never unplugged, and suddenly the port is loose feeling and I get those crappy lines until I wiggle the end of the HDMI cable in the port. Fixes it
    til someone comes stomping past the Xbox.
