XB1 reboots when I click on Apps and Games tile

I can't access the preview group so posting my issue here.

On the xbox home screen, when I click on the 'My Apps and Games' tile.

The screen goes black and I hear the blu-ray player churn and make some noise. I happen to have a movie in there (Frozen).

After 2 seconds, the xbox initiates a hard reboot. I know this because it takes a long time to boot up. Similar to when I press the power button for 10 seconds.

After the reboot, the issue goes away. I couldn't get it to happen again.

How to Download update

Click the "My Games & Apps" tile on the xbox dashboard (whatever its called on the XB1) and you should be able to find Dead Rising 3 in there. It will either say "Installing.. ##%" or "Ready to Start.. ##%" You will be able to load your saved game only when
it is 100% completed.

 

Uninstalling DLC

When uninstalling a game and its DLC go to games/apps hit menu button on game tile hit manage game, above game tile you will see white box manage all click that then uninstall all, don't worry its just for that game and its DLC.

Install the game again then do above.

 

The hard reboot clears the memory cache so that's why it take a time reloading. Might just be a glitch with the software. Expect some updates.

 

Actually Delta4 SJ, Doing a reset by pressing and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds is what clears the system cache (hard reboot implies that you unplug the power supply) . You are definitely correct though by suggesting a reset and wait
for an update.

SlimT2, if the reset doesn't resolve this issue. you could look to doing a factory reset to redownload the system update, you won't lose any saved progress for your games. You'll only have to reinstall your games and apps.
