XB1 powering down after starting a game.

Discus and support XB1 powering down after starting a game. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my apps work fine but when I start my game the whole system shuts down.     XB1 powering down after starting a game.


    my apps work fine but when I start my game the whole system shuts down. And it won't start back up unless I remove the power cord and then plug it back in after a few seconds. I only own hard copies so I don't know if it happens to everyone. the only loop
    hole is when I start an app and run it for a few hours then I can switch to my game.

    I was having the same issue after the XB1 and my Cable box working fine since launch day. My solution was to power down the Xbox and then unplug the power cord. Simply powering the system down does not fully reset the hardware, it just goes into a sleep
    mode. Unplugging the power cord for 20 seconds and then re-powering the Xbox seemed to fix this issue.

    One thing I would recommend trying is a cold boot. Hold in power button 8-10 seconds to turn off XB1, Power on and try again. This starts clean - you should see the XB1 logo (green screen) on boot and it will take a bit longer to startup but will start
    fresh. Let us know if you still have problems after doing this!

    I got idea what they are thinking of. It could mess up XB1 standby option. For instance if you power down everything through power strip switch and thus lock XB1 into standby state.
