XB1 Party not working

    You're absolutely right. I've been having a lot of problems with party chat and the handset volume controls. Today I updated the xb1 handset software and the volume controls are working again. I haven't had a chance to check out party chat.

    Xbox Live between One and 360?

    Cross party chat (and play) between 360 and XB1 is not possible.

    If you or your friends are in the current Xbox One Update Preview, the party systems are incompatible due to heavy changes to the party architecture. This means you cannot chat with or join a party with someone in the beta (if you aren't in it), or someone
    not in the beta (if you are in it).

    The update is supposed to go live tomorrow (the 4th), so hopefully your problem will be fixed then.

    Xbox Accessories.....

    older models, not they will not work... but TB are releasing a new model designed for use with XB1.. chances of an adapter are possible..but through 3rd parties...but not sure of they will work correctly.

    in game chat..... party chat and private chat will still work the same... just the tech for it is based off of the skype infrastructure .. which is why BC chats from the XB1 to the 360 is not possible
