Xb1 nat moderate in BO1 but open on console.

My NAT is always open and has been throughout MW3 and BO2. It used to switch from moderate to strict to open in BO1. I think resetting my router helped that problem.

Yes, but on that subject, on my XB1 Test NAT menu selection acts like a switch sometimes. Open becomes Moderate if I check NAT, and Moderate becomes Open. Is that by design?

All I have is a gateway. No router. I managed to get the NAT open on XB1 but that's now gone back to double NAT. When it was open the Xbox app on Win 10 was showing as moderate but not double. I have restarted the console several times and still nothing.

Ive tried 3 routers.



TPLink WR841N. Which was no good as NAT would go strict randomly and struggled to get open nats on both xb1 and 360 at same tiime.

BT Homehub 3. Which can have open NATs on both consoles but contains a bug where UPnP, Port forwarding and DMZ will break every couple of days requiring reboot.



BT homehub 5. Again supports 2 xboxes but for some reason xb1 cant open required ports. It appears xb1 is not compatible with the UPnP function of this router at all. I have to port forward ports 3074 and 3075 to the xb1 ip address to open the nat..Strangely
even though port 3074 is forwarded to xb1 my 360 is still able to get an open nat via UPnP even though the logs claim that upnp opens port 3074 to xbox 360..



Problem is when i use my xb1 tomorrow the xb1 dashboard nat will probably be moderate again while cod will remain open.



You mention port 3076 as a fallback port. Are you saying i could forward that to xb1 to keep nat open?

I have an Asus RT-N56U router, my nat was open on xb1, but moderate on cod ghosts. my fix was, i turned the firewall off on my router and open nat on ghosts now. I didn't open any ports or anything
