    XB1 making loud noise when installing game?


    Right now, I am installing the Metro Redux and my XB1 is making a loud noise, like it's reading the disc but it's non-stop plus it's making a loud humming sound. Normal?

    Is it only loud when you put in the dead rising disc? Or is it always making the loud noise?

    Mine did that too. It did this wickey-wickey-sound while installing metro redux. I installed Forza Horizon 2 just after that and it didnt make that noise. So im guessing it has to do with the game disc of metro redux, nothing ill waste my time with.

    HI, guys, if it's just the Metro Redux disc having the loud noise, then I wouldn't worry about it, but if it happens with more discs, then your drive may have a problem.

    Xbox 360 S - background downloads and weird drive noises...

    When You install a game for the first time it will make a lot of noise , after the first install it takes a few minutes after you put the installed game into the disk tray for it to read it then it will go silent . I don't know how loud the noise is but
    it sounds usual to me. :)
