[XB1] Is system link a thing yet?

So, looking at the forum, I'm getting the vibe that Microsoft doesn't want system link on the XB1, but the posts I was looking at were from 3+ years ago, I'd just like to know if system link is a thing on XB1 now, as anywhere else I look has little to no
information.

System linking

This is specifically for back ops 3 zombies. I'm trying to system link with my brother, we are both offline, we can find each other on the "find LAN game" but when we go to join each other, it is party is not joinable. Any solutions?

I thought system link was only for the original xbox. You sure you arent stuck in the year 2003 buddy?

I'm wondering the same thing! I'll tell ya this----I just tried hooking up an XBox 1 to an Xbox 360 via ethernet cable to do system link with Black Ops 2 and had no success. I downloaded the backwards compatible version of BO2 on the Xbox 1 and had a copy
of the disc in both systems and they wouldn't link up. Every time I'd start a new game and select to "join game" on the other console, I'd get an error message. I'm surprised to find very little help with Google and YouTube searches.

System Link was for the 360 consoles back in the day. The Xbox One consoles will need to connect online.

As this isn't something we can directly assist you with (as it's a missing feature, not a Support question), you should definitely go ahead and post this on the Feedback site so that this might get added in a future console update:

It's possible someone has already suggested this, in which case search and upvote their idea. If it's not posted, go ahead and make the suggestion on the site.

and we know all of this by only about 13 games revealed on a system not due out for another 4 1/2 months? have you played any XB1 games..? have you used the K2.0 yet? better yet.. have you physically seen an XB1 yet?
