XB1 Home screen backgrond

I think that if we were able to put a picture, or a theme like on the xbox 360, it would be better then the black void that is there currently.

even just having the daily Bing photo there would increase interest and kinda spruce things up a bit.

it would increase revenue if you sold the themes like you used to, and give the owners more customization options.

Is the a way to turn off ads on XB1 Home screen yet, or is my XB1 still a fancy billboard?

 

Xbox One Random Freezes and Game problems

My XB1 randomly crashes back to the home screen when I use ie. It's never froze though.

 

Phil Spencer said a couple of weeks ago that themes/backgrounds will be available soon.

 

I LOVE THE BING PHOTOS!!! I collect those every day!

 

I know I personally cannot wait to sit on my home screen and Stare at minimal sections of a picture solely cause there is no real room to fully view it!

Why don't you focus on things like better games, better deals, actually allowing the gamer control over his/her games, actually allowing the serious gamers to play away from the trolls and non serious like they emphasized so strongly!

How about a better twitch app, kinda funny the opposition has a better twitch app when MS's xbox and Twitch.tv have an exclusive partnership.

Or here is a good one, how about the fact that movie sales and rental prices have gone up more than 200%.

If this is an all media entertainment device then why do I now need to pay 8.99 just to rent a movie for 24hrs or 15.99 to rent just cause it's a new movie.

But hey you can rent 15 year old movies for 5.99. Guess this system is not for gaming or media.

Oh wait none of that matters cause we just want to hang out on our home screens staring at pictures we had no choice in collecting! Lol!!!!!

 

Because if I am not staring at a menu for hours on my gaming console, next on my list is to turn on Twitch and watch other people play games for hours....

When it comes down to it the xbox one twitch app is just poor, as the xbox records and streams from an obviously incompatible capture device giving us settings to control CBR, Key Frame Intervals and many other things that will take too much effort to explain
here Would be crucial.

The funniest part of streaming on twitch from your console as is without spending money on a capture device and buying or downloading free to use third party streaming apps is that 95% of the streams are incompatible to view on Mobile devices or even better
cannot be viewed on other consoles.

So if my xbox has a capture device why should I have to buy another just too ensure people can actually view my stream??

Why should I have to purchase or download a free to use application just to further adjust my stream settings too ensure my stream can be viewed.

Where are the options to do this directly from console??

So my point is if there is an exclusive partnership why does the competitor have some of the options I speak of?

Why does their app work 50% more efficiently?

Why are their more options on their App.

MS is a joke and I am sry to myself it took me this long too realize. We are being blind sided so wake up.

Yes but even my stream is running weird settings at times. 9-10 my CBR is ok running anywhere from 2000 to 3300. Where 3500 is the max before one starts having issues. Every once in awhile my key frame intervals will rise and this will make my stream virtually
non viewable anywhere but on the PC version of twitch. Thankfully for me this issue does not last long and I have been able too gauge the issue and how I can avoid it. No streaming during peak hours or while the 2 other occupants are maintaining use of our
home broadband On high traffic sites.

Now I'm just curious if your getting at my casts seem to be decent quality as I am aware they are. This became apparent to me when I was invited to a stream team for having a stream with quality video and audio.

And the only reason I can accomplish this is simply due to the fact that my internet is stronger than the average home internet. But I pay top dollar for that and it's not even half as good as some speeds available in this country and or world.

 

This may seem like a petty issue to some but for me too be told there is an exclusive partnership only too see the people without that exclusiveness having and doing better is simply a slap in the face too me.

Amongst other reasons of up and coming angst from myself towards xbox this has been an eye opener for me. All I want to do is utilize my streaming feature too the fullest... And not having too pay extra for another capture device. And Streaming App.

Which if I am too purchase renders the capture device and twitch app worthless. So if your like me and want to further your channel it will not be possible without abandoning the way it is set up for us now and doing it the way you would have 1-5 years ago.

I only ask because I only ever watch your twitch via my iphone and it always is viewable for me.

 

I saw what looked like a photo shopped attempt of a theme on the Xbox One and I really liked it! I forgot what a bit of colour can do, it just made it seem more exciting.

I would still prefer gamerpics though, so, so, sick of seeing the one I'm currently using.

 

Due to our time zone difference rip you most likely viewed my stream while it's very late at night for me and no secondary stress being put on my network. Therefore no issues arouse during the stream .

Allowing my settings too stay optimized without forced control. Therefore staying in the Excellent category allowing for mobile and desktop twitch applications too view the stream.

Late late at night is normally when I get my most viewers too and this IMO is due to the stream maintaining excellent condition.

I have had people that tune in with me for hours on end speak of timely difficulties to stay in my stream. Although these difficulties do not last long for me it can be an avoidance feature too others who have not already found a connection to mine or other
streamers channels.

I apologies for not being on topic to this thread guys but as I am all about 100% personal customization I would also love too see things like more or even custom gamerpics and themes but as it stands now there are soo many things wrong with this service
that have been told to us in a vindictive manor and never optimized. Things that would have should have and now could have made this service what it is meant to be.

And ontop of that the failure of accessories rate is crazy.

I have 3 dead controllers with nothing physically wrong with them. I have a TitanFall controller that stopped working after less than a month. And if I send it in I can guarantee not too get a TFall controller back but some standard color which is not ok
being I paid for a TFall model. I have a Kinect that just died when an update was released. And yes I have tried all steps too trouble shoot.

I'm just tired of the re hash's the broken expensive components. The poorly optimized features. The increase in fees for rentals all while the quality goes down on what we will call cheaper rentals.

All the while I watch 100's of thousands of people scream for gamer pics and say things like the 360 did that why can't this.

Especially when we should be focusing on doing things that we could not previously do.
