    xb1 doesnt auto turn off any more


    hello,

    so ive noticed my xb1 stays on all night, ive gone into settings and "auto off after 1hr of inactivity" is checked, but still stays on for ever.

    anyone else had this issue since the update ?

    Xbox One Automatic Annoying Updates

    Seems like its either not downloading the updates while you have the XB1 off or you are leaving it on in which case its not going to update until you turn it off your message isnt entirely clear in that regard. Considering you said you "normally do not turn my Xbox One however"

    If you turn the XB1 off with auto update on it will update. If you dont turn the XB1 off it will never auto update you will have to manually do it.

    Auto Update is a feature that is used when the Xbox is off but still in that low lower state. It doesnt work when the XB1 is on.

    GG yeah I know it is annoying.... I see my friends on.... but if you see watching TV.... I am doing just that.... Until MS comes out with the auto turn off patch.... I want XBOX TURN OFF instead of Y or N make it NOW 15min 30 min 1 hours 3 hour...I have
    and always will fall asleep to the TV... my TV goes off.... but the XB1 is still running... I do have that auto off inactivity thing set to 1 hour.. but it doesnt seem to work...

    Multiple XB1 with open NAT possible?

    I wouldnt know where to start on multiple xb1s,it was hell up trying to get the one off moderate,ip n dns is set to auto,but I eventually had to disconect every single devise form the router,turn it off for 5 mins,and turn it back on with just the xb1 connected
    via ethernet, you can no longer just change to wireless either,I had to repeat the whole process again.

    My friend worked out with the party chat cut outs if you turn the xb1 on without the kinect plugged in,then join party,and plug your kinect once joined,it doesnt happen,but how safe this is for the console and kinect is I dont know,xb1 needs to get some
    downtime and fix this for everybody ASAP!its the basics party chat,get it fixed MS!

    It doesnt matter if I can turn off the kinect, it has to be plugged in for the XB1 to run. And currently they havent mentioned its use in any games!! That is were I would use the kinect for the games, talking to it to turn on the xb1 is stupid, and im assuming
    they are smart enough to have a button to turn on the xbox. Hopefully bundling the kinect with the system will encourage more devs to make use of it. Hopefully good use of it, Kinect with Mass Effect 3 was annoying. But until there are games worth while to
    use the Kinect, the requirement that the Kinect MUST be plugged in for the XB1 to operate (other than a glorified On/Off switch) is ridiculous.

    Hell im even ok buying in the bundle at $500, but it HAS to be plugged in all the time...it will sit wrapped up in the back of the cabinet....so pointless....

    If you download the EA Access app on your Xb1 you should be able to buy a sub for £20 from your console, just have to remember to turn auto renew off.
