    XB1 Crashing/Freezing/Unresponsive


    So this is my third console in as many years. (first two sent back for repair) The story this time is that when turning on my xbox it will sometimes freeze on the green screen, sometimes get past the green screen and the freeze on a black screen or sometimes
    boot up to the home page and then freeze. Occasionally Ill manage to start an app or game and after 30-60 minutes the console will freeze. At times the console will crash to the home screen and become slow to respond and other times will freeze up completely.

    I have tried maybe 30-40 hard resets which work initially but then the issue returns. I'm suspecting a RAM issue as this has been the cause of the previous two consoles being returned but wondered if anyone has had any similar experiences and found a fix?

    Appreciate the time taken and any forthcoming responses.

    Xbox One S Keep crashing after few minutes of use since October update....

    I have almost the same Issue on the standard Xbox one ever since the last update crashing freezing glitching having to power cycle as Xbox becomes unresponsive to controller.

    notice sometimes if you hold home button and select turn off Xbox it locks up and wont shut down turn on or anything just the turn off controller or Xbox screen stuck and unresponsive end up power cycling think up to my 20th power cycle sinse the update
    grrrrrr.

    Microsoft You have broken my Xbox please Fix it XB1 Crashing/Freezing/Unresponsive :(

    Hey there -

    If a power cycle is helping your Xbox One console woes, you may want to try a full >>factory reset<< of your console to see if that helps resolve the
    issue. If that doesn't help, unfortunately you'll want to consider reaching out to the >>Online Service Center<< to explore having your console repaired
    or replaced. I know it's not ideal but that is definitely not normal behavior for an Xbox One.

    Happy to report that so far the suggested fix seems to be working. ive had 1 hour of uninterrupted glorious xb1 gaming with no issues. Thanks Miss Bijoux!

    Consistent Crashing

    Yes. I was able to transfer to saves from my 360, but now it freezes as soon as I select Play Game and crashes to the XB1 Dash.

    Sling TV app crashing constantly

    Yep. I'm having the same problem. Sling TV is working fine on my Roku which is hooked up via wifi. But it's crashing and freezing on the xb1, which is hooked up via Ethernet cable. It's not my connection and it's not Sling TV. It's either the app or the
    xb1 that's the problem. I tried reinstalling the app and no difference. Netflix and other streaming services work fine.
