    XB1 Controller - PC Wireless Adapter


    I have had an XBOX 360 wireless adapter for my PC for quite some time now. It has been one of the best purchases that came out of my 360 days, considering long-term use. The XBOX controllers are some of the most comfortable and intuitive that I've ever
    had, so I love using them for the computer.

    That being said, I have wanted for quite some time now to try out the new XB1 controller on my PC. Generally, it seems to be a very solid piece of hardware -of course, more so now that the bugs have had a bit of time to be found and fixed- and I'd like
    to try it out at home. (Personally, the only complaint that I have are that the bumpers are a bit awkwardly positioned; too high and a bit out of reach, in my opinion, but I'm sure I could adapt.) I am aware that there are Windows drivers for the controller,
    but unfortunately, there is no way to connect wirelessly at the moment.
    My question is: when will an adapter be released for the XB1 controllers? I've heard that it should be released some time, but I am not sure how long I should wait if I want to consider purchasing one. I think there are a decent number of people who would
    jump at the possibility to use the controller, but don't want to do so because of the lacking wireless capability. Myself, I would probably buy a couple controllers if that was available. I guess I am speculating that it may be a good product to release, with
    respect to sales. ...Of course, I have no idea what sales were like for the last adapter, so I honestly can't say one way or the other if it would be a good strategy for Microsoft.

    If I own an Xbox 360E and an Xbox ONE wireless controller with a wireless pc adapter can I connect the Xbox ONE controller to the Xbox 360 through the pc adapter?

    Cannot Sync Xbox One Wireless controller with adapter for Windows 10!

    I bought a XB1 Wireless Controller with Adapter for Windows. Currently I'm running on Windows 10. My computer cannot detect the connection between the Adapter and Wireless Controller, nothing was detected on the Game Controller application as well as Xbox
    Accessories App (Store).

    I tried with XB1 micro-USB as well and nothing seem to work.

    Had anyone faced the same issue as me?

    That is a really great idea! I really want Microsoft to create a PC wireless adapter not only for the Xbox One, but for the 360 and some 3rd party controllers.

    If your controllers are wireless, then you are going to need the Xbox 360 wireless adapter for PC to be able to connect the controller to the PC. https://bit.ly/3zldL21

    If it's wired, then just plugging the controllers into the PC via the USB socket should work fine.
    The OP is trying to control his Xbox One whilst having the controller plugged into the PC rather than having issues connecting the controller to PC.

    I don't see how controlling your XB1 with a PC connected controller would even work...not unless there is some sort of remote share function or other on the XB1 maybe? Much like PCs have remote desktops to control it from another location?

    Is this an Xbox One controller, or an Xbox 360 controller? If it's an Xbox One controller, are you connecting wirelessly to the PC via Bluetooth, or with the Xbox Wireless Adapter?

    I asume you are talking about the official Xbox Wireless Adapter Controller.

    Is that is true, you can follow the steps described in here for connecting it : https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/...ories/xbox-wireless-adapter-for-windows-setup

    If not, the other solution is :

    Plug the Wireless Adapter to your PC

    Connect your Xbox One Controller to your PC via USB cable

    When the controller is connected, unplug the USB cable from the controller

    At this point, the controller should be paired with your Wireless Adapter (or at least, that works for me everytime!)

    Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
    360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.
