XB1 Controller left analog drift

I am on my 5th xbox one standard controller (in 1 year) and keep having the same problems with them drifting on the left analog stick. I am tired of this happening and I don't feel like I should Have to buy another one. I am currently unable to play anything
on my xbox one due to this drifting. what can I do?

Xb1 controller left analog stick drift

Hi, for some time now I have had a problem with my left analog stick on my day one edition wireless controller. It keeps drifting upwards and i have seen that some people have had the same problem. It was not that bad at first but got progressively worse
as weeks past. Now my Xbox is unplayable as it just prevents me from playing anything without me accidentally scraping or selling some items on games and basically makes my Xbox useless. I no longer have a warranty as I bought this xox 2-3 years ago and I
followed some people's tips online by applying rubbing alcohol to the analog stick to remove moisture and it worked for a very small period of about ten minutes. I then opened up the controller and followed other tips to find the problem but I could not find
it some. Some one told be its to do with something about the x and y axis sensors in the analog stick and said that I should unsolder and replace them but I chose not to further complicate and damage the controller more. I probably have gone against the warranty
opening it up, but is there way I could fix this? I literally have no money to spare as I just bought a laptop for sixth form and that's the money I have been saving for years. Controllers for the Xbox are pretty expensive, I mean I would love to have it replaced
and I could pay some of the cost but I just can't afford it. Any help would be much appreciated including any tips on how I can fix it. Thank you for your time

 

Left Analog Drift

I got an Xbox one for Christmas and so far I love it, however I'm getting increasingly frustrated and being unable to play due to the controllers analog stick drifting upwards. I can have it laid flat on a table and be over the other side of the room, and
it'll be scrolling up the menus. In games like Advanced Warfare and FIFA it makes it unplayable. I just run forward constantly. I'm not too pleased given the fact I've had it for only 10 days and it's not been used a huge amount. Is there anything I can do
to fix it? I've tried plugging it in the Xbox and updating it, but it says there's no update available.

 

Your only option is to either get your controller repaired or purchase another one. If it is not under warranty then your will probably be better off purchasing a new one. I know you don't want to but if your are going to play then you have to decide.
