    XB1 Controller Input Lag - Driver Issue


    Hello,

    From time when I updated my OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home, my XB1 Controller started going crazy. I'm sure it's something with driver.

    For example: I'm not playing a lot of videogames, but in GTA V (not all the time, in random moments) LS and RS buttons (dpads) are bringing much delay in game. When I push the *** to the left, it starts reacting after 1 second! It's really annoying. This
    problem exists in NFS: The Run, too. I have normal version of controller, just with connected cable. Changing the cable is not resolving my problem.

    I wanted to check out if it's XB1 controller fault, or just system. I plugged the Dualshock 3 Controller, installed drivers and SCP software, but problem isn't occuring on Sony controller. I'm playing on notebook, so it's not my monitor fault (input lag)

    I tried to solve this problem, and switched the driver in Device Manager to other (by default, it's "Xbox Controller") It's visible on this screenshot: http://oi64.tinypic.com/sne6wp.jpg

    On "Xbox One Controller" something is broken, and RT button is mirrored to LT button, but the "input lag" problem disappears. But on all other driver versions, nothing changes, problem is still occuring.

    I'm sending you two files msinfo32, and dxdiag, maybe them will help somehow. Xbox support files.rar

    How can I resolve this issue?

    Controller lag

    In Ryse and Assassin's Creed 4 I notice significant input lag between the controller and what happens in the game. Using the same input and cable I get zero lag with my 360. The lag is about 120ms I'd say. Anyone else having this issue? I'm about to return
    this console.

    This is an old issue, but its always worth bringing back up once in a while in hopes that one day it will be addressed.

    Since launch, backwards compatibilty has caused roughly 50ms-70ms of controller input delay, depending on the game being played. This has caused some problems playing certain fast paced games like Gears of War and other shooters.

    Luckily, Red Dead Redemption benefits from some pretty heavy auto aim by default, but it clearly suffers when in manual aim. This also makes competitve multiplayer near impossible.

    Again this is an old issue and I have already filled out a survey again. Just trying to bring this issue up again since its been ongoing since BC launch.

    Unfortunately, Hydro Skillet's on the money. There's no generic driver for USB input devices that aren't the Xbox One controller or the Kinect. You'd figure somewhere in that 5GB NAND space they could spare a few KB for a reasonable keyboard or mouse driver,
    even if it were unusable in games. Just having them to navigate the XB1's UI would be a godsend.

    That does sound like an issue of input lag. I agree that the purchase of a controller would be a bit much, but you could try going into your computer's System settings and checking the inputs.

    The Xbox One S controller is not designed nor supported to run on smartphones. Microsoft did not issue any bluetooth controller drivers outside of Windows 10.

    Anything you may have got working (or have seen working) was just partially working, generic bluetooth input drivers preinstalled on the phone itself, or unofficial third-party drivers written for the controller.

    This should not be on X1

    I also have noticed significant lag when playing on XB1. Thought it was my connection but after running a few connection tests I confirmed it wasn't my connection. At times I feel a slight input lag as well.
