    XB1 Controller - Having issues connecting to PC


    I have my XB1 controller hooked up to my PC via Micro-USB cable, but it isn't working. I use a Windows 10 by the way.

    It rumbles the second I plug it in (indicating that my cable works), but the home button is shut off and the computer doesn't detect the controller being present. So when I press the home button to try and turn it on, it just turns on my Xbox instead and
    connects to that.

    I've tried pressing the reconnect button on my controller, doesn't work. I've tried unplugging my xbox so the two won't interact... the controller still seems to ignore the fact that its plugged into my PC. What the hell Microsoft?

    What's with these controllers and having issues? When you plug something into your computer, it should directly connect. There shouldn't be any stupid crap where the controller doesn't listen to the user and ignores where its actually plugged into. I've
    never seen anything else in my life that does this.

    direct tv not working

    I'm having issues connecting to my DirecTV Genie HR44/500. XB1 cannot find a code to control it. Please help. It was working last week.

    Just got my Xb1 COD:ADW Limited Edition about 8hrs ago and is having trouble connecting my xb1 controller to the console tried all solutions still won't power on and connect. Is there any way I can resolve this issue?

    If your controllers are wireless, then you are going to need the Xbox 360 wireless adapter for PC to be able to connect the controller to the PC. https://bit.ly/3zldL21

    If it's wired, then just plugging the controllers into the PC via the USB socket should work fine.
    The OP is trying to control his Xbox One whilst having the controller plugged into the PC rather than having issues connecting the controller to PC.

    I don't see how controlling your XB1 with a PC connected controller would even work...not unless there is some sort of remote share function or other on the XB1 maybe? Much like PCs have remote desktops to control it from another location?

    The XB1 to PC direct connection was just a testing solution, not a permanent one. :)

    I'm just wondering if your router is having issues with it at all, or is there some software on your PC causing problems?

    Hi there, yes. When connected to my pc via bluetooth it is only recognised as a regular XB1 controller (can't use or remap the paddles etc). The Accessories app also only sees it as a regular xbox one controller.
