    Hello,

    Does anyone know of any controller charging docks for Xbox One which don't use custom batteries, just the normal battery from the play & charge kit, IE a charging dock which uses the micro USB socket? All the docks i've seen so far require and come with
    special batteries which have charging contacts on the battery shell. As i've already paid out for the play & charge kit batteries i don't want to pay for more batteries.

    Its not for charging AA batteries you get two rechargeable batteries with the dock one for each controller.

    Controller Charging Dock

    I have 2 Xbox One controllers with the official Xbox One controller batteries connected. I'd like somewhere to put my controllers when I am not playing on the console and charge the controllers when they need a charge.

    Is there a good dock out there that can charge 2 controllers at once without including custom batteries?

    I'd like a controller dock that charges via standard mains power (if it can also charge via USB that would be good too).

    Does the dock hold/charger the controller with their battery inside? Or does the dock only hold/charge their battery?

    Hi AJStrucel! The Series 2 controller has a built-in battery pack and the charging port on the top of the controller is of the USB-C type. It also comes with a charging dock that plugs via the USB-C cable to your Xbox or PC on top of which you rest the controller.
    The charging port on the dock lines up with holes on the back of the controller just below where the batteries of a normal controller are located.

    What would you change?

    Rechargeable controllers. Not really a fan of having to buy batteries.
    Buy a charging dock with battery packs, will save you a lot of money in the long run.
