XB1 CONT. INFERIOR CABLE FOR PC??

hello people

I recently spent 90 aud on an xb1 controller=cable for windows, but with one glaring flaw. The OG Xbox cable just wont work on my pc, 3rd party Samsung cable will???(its like the original cable has some internal mechanic restricting it from pc) IS there
something im missing here or is this standard of a "Microsoft quality " product.

I'm a PC gamer and an Xbox One gamer (more PC now though) and I have used several official 'play and charge' cables for use on both the console and a PC.

From a technical point there is nothing overly special about these USB to Micro USB cables. You can use them to charge Xbox controller batteries, power the controller without batteries or to charge any older style Android phones/tablets that utilise Micro
USB connectors for charging or data transfer. Indeed, this is why your Samsung micro USB cable works with your Xbox One controller.

Physically I've had some fail on me, which is why I've started using longer third party cables. The main issue is that the Micro USB connector can be damaged and thereafter provide only a loose connection. This is especially true if the controller is dropped
with the cable still inserted. Had this happen a few days ago. I dropped the pad on the floor and the connector became loose. But my old Samsung cable worked just fine still.

If you need a new cable just look for a standard 'Micro USB' Sync and charge' from sites such as Amazon. They will work fine with the controller and PC.

Yes, any micro USB - USB cable would work. also the xbox one controllers have bluetooth compatibiliy with Windows 10 PC

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing issues with a USB cable for your Xbox One controller. Do you mind specifying which cable you are referencing? Have you attempted to use different USB ports on your PC?

Not any more!! I will wait and see but i'm afraid the multiplatform games will be inferior on the XB1.

The origional Kinect is inferior to the new Kinect. Why would you want the lesser of the two? If you want the Kinect for XB1 there is a solution.

The 360 and the XB1 are 2 different consoles. The 360 controllers don't work with XB1 either (yet).........I think I'll make thread about that.
