XB1 constantly resets NAT type to STRICT

Discus and support XB1 constantly resets NAT type to STRICT in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am not sure what else I can do here. I have contacted both Xbox Support via phone and online.     XB1 constantly resets NAT type to STRICT


    I am not sure what else I can do here. I have contacted both Xbox Support via phone and online. I have done port forwarding and on the advice of phone support currently have the XB1 on the other side of the fire wall. Yet despite all of this it STILL
    resets my NAT type to strict every time I turn the *** thing off. It is seriously frustrating. I do know other people have had this issue and what I want to know is if this is one the short list of things to be fix in a future update?

    Please tell me it's not just me who can't get my NAT to open after trying EVERYTHING.

    My NAT type is set to open on the one. I know randomly while playing the 360 and certain games it will tell me my NAT is strict. I have no clue why it used to bounce from strict to open. I always thought it was the servers from a specific game. I have
    no clue on how to troubleshoot my router (gateway) if my NAT was ever set to strict on XB1

    No - I think NAT type Problems can only be solved on your side.

    So let's begin:

    What Router do you have? Do you run the latest Firmware for your Router?

    You wrote that you have port Forward and your XB1 on the other side of the Firewall (DMZ I think). You can't do both. If you are in the DMZ you should disable ALL Port Forward Settings.

    The best thing would be if you check if your Router supports UPnP. If it supports you should give it a try.

    Disable DMZ - Port Forward and enable UPnP. Make sure you run the latest Firmware for your Router and restart your router and your xbox if you change DMZ Port Forward or UPnP.

    Also if your router has an address reservation mode(aka DHCP reservation) then you should try using that to always give the xbox the same IP address.

    Also you could try switching the console to energy saving mode as instant on mode can be glitchy as far as NAT type goes causing strict NATs for some people every time they switch off.

    It sounds like you have a moderate or strict NAT type, most likely a strict NAT type.

    Sometimes resetting a router can help change your NAT type.

    To reset your router: 1) Unplug router from power source for 45 seconds 2) plug router back in and retry joining his world
