    XB1 Changing Channels Without My Control


    I went on a trip for 5 days recently and when I came home, my Xbox One was off as if it had automatically updated itself.

    After turning it back on and using it for a while, I notice 3 new/strange behaviors:

    1) I can no longer access "Settings" from the home screen - it just hangs.

    2) When going into the TV app, the navigation controls remain on the screen without disappearing automatically like they used to. I have to use the remote to turn them off.

    3) At random times now, the XB1 will just suddenly change channels so some random channel. This has NEVER happened before.

    I haven't tried any troubleshooting yet, so hopefully a reboot will fix. I'll keep you posted.

    Tivo now allowing TV to pass through XboxOne

    TiVo Premiere works great with XB1. The XB1, however, seems to lag on occasion when changing channels.

    Can you please add Vizio Support & HDMI 3D pass through.

    Xbox One cant control my TV. I have a Vizio model M651d-A2R. Also, 3D pass through would be great so I can watch the Directv 3D channels without having to disconnect the XB1 every time I want to watch a 3D movie.

    Whats up with this forum? How do i quote a reply. Now my box is actually functioning with my xb1. Just not properly. I can power on and off. I could also change channels.

    The xb1 guide is actually spot on for the most part. Its just that when select a channel whether i say "xbox watch" or select via the one guide. 70% of the time it goes to an unrelated non hd channel. For example ESPN will go to low def channel 9.

    I have the guide set to HD Only. Also what Weird is that after the xb1 changes the channel to some random low def channel. I usually grab the stb remote so that i could put it on the channel its supposed to be on. And when i pull up the stb guide. It lists
    a different channel than both the xb1 guide and from the one thats actually being played on the tv.

    Basically everything is out of sync.

    Same situation here dish vip722 is is detected by xb1 and so is my tv but no voice commands to change channel's. .. my ir remote code is set to 1 it was on 27 before I followed steps to correct that but still no luck in voice commands changing channels thru
    one guide. ....

    It can certainly turn the TV on and off and change volume.. channel commands didn't work for me with SkyHD.

    In the end I disconnected it and bypassed the XB1 for my TV.
